Norman's Obituary

Norman L. Whitemyer, 57, of St. Joseph, died June 25 at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date in Fennville, Michigan. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Norman was born on January 13, 1950, to Vernon and Hazel (Atkins) Whitemyer in St. Joseph, Michigan. He was a former security guard at the Cook Nuclear Plant. He also was a former member of the St. Joseph F.O.P. Norman was a very generous man who enjoyed reading and taking care of his two parrots. Survivors include his sister, Janice (Clarke) Powell of Wickenburg, Arizona; two brothers, Ronald Whitemyer of Coloma and Robert Whitemyer of Jasper, Missouri; and by his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and close friends. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Craig Whitemyer.
