Karl William Wahl, 50, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2007, at is home. A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00A.M., Thursday, July 19, 2007, at Full Gospel Assembly Church, 4640 E. Snow Rd., Berrien Springs, with Pastor Starley Baker officiating. Visitation is from 7:00 – 9:00P.M., Wednesday, Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, and 9:00-11:00A.M., Thursday, at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the Karl Wahl Memorial Fund c/o LaSalle Bank for his granddaughters’ Education Fund. Karl was a self-employed contractor specializing in drywall, painting & concrete finishing. Karl, “Papa” loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed NASCAR, building models, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Church was the most important thing in his life. Karl is survived by his daughter Aimee Lynn (Brian) Anderson, of Berrien Springs; two grandchildren, Sara Huycke and Erika Anderson, of Berrien Springs; his mother Violet “Lois” Wahl, of Fort Wayne, IN; brothers, Mark (Jane) Wahl of Anna, OH, Kirk Wahl of Decatur, IN, Craig Wahl, of Springdale, AK; sisters Cheryl Moyer of Blue Spring, MO, Laura (Bernie) Lucido of Las Vegas, NV, Kathy Wahl of Jackson, MI, and Lynne Thompson, of St. Joseph; and numerous nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his father Jack Wahl in 1972.
