Theodore's Obituary
Theodore “Ted” Warmbein, 57, of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2007 at his home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Church St., St. Joseph. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by Coloma American Legion Post #362, VFW Post #1137 in Benton Harbor, and VFW Post #6803 in Watervliet. Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Funeral Rites will be conducted by BPOE #541 of St. Joseph at 7:30 P.M., and a time of sharing personal memories of Ted will follow. Ted was born August 7, 1949 in St. Joseph, Michigan to Herbert & Mary (Brown) Warmbein. He graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School in 1967. Ted served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War, with the rank of Sergeant in the 1st Cav.Infantry. He owned and operated Great Lakes Office Equipment in St. Joseph for the last 30 years. Ted was a member of the Elks Lodge #541 and FOP Lodge #96, both in St. Joseph. In his spare time, he loved to fish and travel to the Upper Peninsula and Canada.
Ted is survived by two sisters-Lee (Jeffrey) Mawicke of Milwaukee, WI, Mary Jean (David) Simons of St. Joseph; nephews & nieces-Joshua, Neil, Kyle, & Ashley Simons, & Samantha & Gregory Mawicke; and a great-nephew Vernon Riggins. He was preceded in death by his sister Nan Griffiths in March 1978, his mother Mary in September 1996, and his father Herbert in October 1996.
