Patrick Joseph Maly, 43, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00A.M. Friday, June 29, 2007, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Church St., St. Joseph, with Msgr Osborn officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Bluff cemetery. Visitation is from 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. with Rosary recited at 7:30 P.M., Thursday, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made in Patrick’s name to St. Joseph Catholic Church. Those wishing to share a memory or sign the guestbook online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Patrick was born March 10, 1964, in Grand Rapids, to Donald and Marilyn (Denman) Maly. He graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1982. Patrick’s sense of adventure took him backpacking through Europe for three months. He then joined the Navy Sea Bees, where, for the next two and a half years he learned the skills that he would use in his business as Mechanical Contractor. Patrick is survived by the light of his life, his son, Joshton Maly; mother Marilyn Maly of St. Joseph; siblings Nancy Jager of Kalamazoo, Daniel (Mary Lynn) Maly of Zeeland, David (Kellie) Maly of St. Joseph, Julie (Otis) McKie of Covert, Carrie Strzyzykowski of Berrien Springs, Matthew Maly of St. Joseph, Lisa (Steve) Whitfield of Stevensville; and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father Don Maly, on December 4, 1993.
