Charles's Obituary

Charles L. Jaymes, 71, of Stevensville, passed away, Monday, April 30, 2007 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. At Chuck’s request, his body has been donated to the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. There will be no visitation or services. Memorials may be made to the Lakeland Dialysis Unit in St. Joseph or the charity of the donor’s choice. He was a member of the Benton Harbor High School Class of 1955. In 1956, he sought employment with Producer’s Creamery in Benton Harbor. Chuck retired in 1984 after 28 years of employment with what was then known as McDonald’s Dairy. On April 29, 1960, he married the former Marian Maas in Benton Harbor. They had just celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary. Chuck is survived by his wife Marian; his son Charles M. Jaymes of Charleston, SC; his daughter Ginger (Andy) Struckhoff of Bedford, NH; and his two grandsons of which he was extremely proud-Charles R. Jaymes serving his country on the USS Cole stationed out of Norfolk, VA, & Zachary Struckhoff of Bedford, NH.
