Gary's Obituary

Gary Wiedmann, 41, of Watervliet, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2007, in Watervliet. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Oakridge Baptist Church, 766 Oakridge Drive, St. Joseph, with Pastor Marlo Fritzke officiating. Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, in St. Joseph. Gary was born April 5, 1966, in West Germany to Emil and Monika Wiedmann. He enjoyed drag racing and competed at Martin’s Dragway in Kalamazoo and Osceola Dragway in Indiana. Gary was known for his generosity toward others and his love for his family. He was extremely proud of his children and “will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.” Gary is survived by his children, Matthew and Kimberly Wiedmann, and Thomas Hart; by his parents, Emil and Monika Wiedmann of St. Joseph; brother, Thomas (Karla) Wiedmann of Stevensville; Oma, Erna Jobs, uncle Klaus-Peter Jobs and aunt Helga (Gert) Boeger all of Germany; uncle, Samuel Wiedmann; aunts, Olga Gelzenlichter and Hilda Bell of Illinois; nieces & nephews, Jennifer, Brittney, & T.J. Wiedmann; and by his numerous friends.
