Violet B. Durflinger, 98, of Hillman, Michigan, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, June 06, 2007 at Medilodge of Hillman. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 619 Market St., St. Joseph with Vicar Kurt Hatteberg officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may call from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church. Those wishing to share a memory or sign the guest book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Mrs. Durflinger was born September 23, 1908 in St. Joseph to James & Anna (Keller) Clark. On June 16, 1928 she married Glenn L. Durflinger in St. Joseph. In her spare time, she and her husband enjoyed traveling the country with their Avion Coach. They were members of the Avion Travelcade Club. Mrs. Durflinger was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid. She was a life-long resident of St. Joseph until 2005, when she moved to Hillman to be with her son Duane and daughter-in-law Barb. Mrs. Durflinger is survived by her son Duane (Barb) Durflinger of Hillman; two grandchildren-Matthew R. (Megan) Durflinger of Saline, MI, Michelle C. (Mauricio) Moreno of Oceanside, CA; & three great-grandchildren-Owen & Addison Durflinger, and Gabriela Moreno. She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn L. Durflinger on June 27, 1991.
