John's Obituary

John Norman Rosenthal, 65, of Stevensville, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday at 10:00 A.M. at Kerley-Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, in St. Joseph, with Pastor Robert Mc Intyre officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Visitation will be this evening, Thursday, April 19, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to either Berrien Specialty Hospital Activities Fund or to the Berrien County Humane Society. John was born on December 27, 1941 in St. Joseph to Audrey and George Rosenthal. John graduated from the Michigan School for the Deaf in Flint and started working for the Sopar Manufacturing Co. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. John lived with his mother in Stevensville. When he became very ill, he had to be hospitalized. He was a resident at Lakeland Specialty Hospital in Berrien Center. John will be missed by his entire family. John is survived by his mother, Audrey Mae Rosenthal of Stevensville; his sisters, Maxine (Pat) Walsh of Benton Harbor, Janet German of Stevensville, and Linda Rosenthal of Fremont, MI; two brothers, George (Debbie) Rosenthal of St. Joseph and Larry (Joy) Rosenthal of Florida; and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, George, whom he will be buried next to at North Shore Memory Gardens.
