Jo's Obituary
Jo Ann Ardith Hollacher, 71, of Stevensville, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at Porter County Hospital in Valparaiso, IN. A Coronation Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Peace Lutheran Church, 3590 Lincoln Ave., St. Joseph, with Rev. Paul A. Koehneke officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 P.M., Friday, April 13, 2007, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Jo Ann was born to Arthur and Alma (Salo) Chartrand on April 14, 1935, in Sault St. Marie, MI. She married Theodore Hollacher on June 21, 1958 in Benton Harbor and together they had one son, Michael. Jo Ann worked at Shepard Products as Director of Human Resources before retiring after 29 years. She was very much a “people person.” Additionally she loved her involvement in various activities at Peace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling. In years past she also enjoyed volunteering for the Blossom Time Festival and being a mentor at the Peace Temple in Benton Harbor. Most of all, Jo Ann’s cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Jo Ann is survived by her husband, Ted; son, Michael (Kathy) Hollacher of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Michael and Katelin Hollacher; brothers, James (Elaine) Chartrand of Stevensville and Arthur (Valerie) Chartrand of Ellenton, FL; and by her sister, Diann (William) Ford of Maumee, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents.
