Warren's Obituary
BENTON HARBOR – Warren Hahn, 79, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.
A service celebrating his life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home in St. Joseph with Evangelist Carol Walden officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in North Shore Memory Gardens in Hagar Shores. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Community of Christ or the St. Joseph Lincoln Senior Center.
Warren was born on May 8, 1927, in St. Louis, MO, to Peter and Lillian (Belford) Hahn. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy serving in both World War II and the Korean War. He then worked for the former Whirlpool Financial Corporation for 30 years before retiring in 1989. He was actively involved in his church serving as an elder and former pastor. He was also an active member of the St. Joseph Lincoln Senior Center and was instrumental in securing their new facility. He also belonged to the Misfits singing group.
He is survived by his daughters, Susan (Jack) Goodwin of St. Joseph and Robyn (Jeff) Sherene of Benton Harbor; two brothers, Richard (Carol) Hahn of Albuquerque, NM, and Donald Hahn of St. Louis, MO; three grandchildren, Martin Sherene, Jon Goodwin, and Sara (Rob) Mead; and five great-grandchildren, James Goodwin, Jon Lee Goodwin, Sara Mead, Logan Mead, and Laney Mead.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Hahn, and his parents.
