Joanne K. Mueller, 57, of St. Joseph, passed away on February 20, 2007, at the South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2007, at the Christian Reformed Church of St. Joseph, 3275 Washington, St. Joseph. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2007, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to the Berrien County Cancer Service, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or to Lory’s Place. Those wishing to send the family a message of condolence may do so online at www.starks-menchinger.com. Joanne was born May 3, 1949, in Benton Harbor to Benjamin and Lucille (Summerer) Johnson. Joanne enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and her church life. She was committed to helping others, serving as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, the Soup Kitchen, Lory’s Place, and Paraprofessionals for Profoundly Disabled Children. She was a member of Chemosabies. Joanne is survived by sons, Randy (Sonya) Kieszkowski of Coloma, Matthew (Amanda) Kieszkowski of Bangor; daughters, Bonnie (Kevin) Belson of Hastings; Margaret (Terry) Merchant of Albany, Georgia;11 grandchildren; brothers, Brad (Georgia) Johnson of Stevensville, Wayne (Natalie) Johnson of Benton Harbor, Dean (Milisa) Johnson of Ft. Wayne, IN, Dennis (Wanda) Johnson of Franklin, TN; twin sister, Jean Johnson of Ft. Wayne, IN, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
