William's Obituary

William (Bill) R. Billington, 60 of Coloma passed away Monday, February 12, 2007, at his home. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 17, 2007 at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph with Pastor Tim Nyhuis officiating. Burial will follow at New Troy Cemetery, New Troy MI (weather permitting). Bill was born December 24, 1946, in Benton Harbor to Thomas O. and Mary L. Billington. Bill was a retired Nuclear Plumber-Pipe fitter. He was also a veteran of the Armed Forces and an avid member of Legion Post 362 in Coloma. Bill loved helping his friends at Post 362 in veteran memorial services around the county. He also loved spending time with his family and friends, laughing and telling jokes were among a few things we all knew and loved about him. Survivors include: his mother Mary L. Billington; two daughters – Michelle (Terry) Smith, Deana Billington and (fiancee Danny Woodall); and one son, Todd Billington all of Coloma; Two brothers, Tom (Sandy) Billington of Drasco, AR; Ben Billington of Coloma; a sister Nancy Arb of Emporia KS, Three grandchildren, Danielle Smith, Angel Jordan and Terry Smith Jr. all of Coloma; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews whom all loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Billington and two brothers, George and Daniel Billington. Memorials may be made to the family.
