Pauline's Obituary
Pauline Ott, 92, of Baroda, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Royalton Manor Nursing Home in St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2673 W. John Beers Rd., Stevensville with Rev. Gerald Schroer and Rev. Jonathan Kruschel officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M., on Monday, April 9, 2007, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Friends may send the family a condolence message or sign the guest book on-line at www.starks-menchinger.com.
Pauline was born November 15, 1914 in Illinois to John and Irene (Zuchik) Samchuk. On May 16, 1936 she married Alvin G. Ott at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stevensville which she was a member. Together they farmed their fruit and dairy farm on Lincoln Avenue in Baroda for more than fifty years.
Pauline is survived by her son, Alvin A. of Baroda; her daughter, Joyce (Roy) Zeilke of St. Joseph; two grandchildren, Elaine (Scott) Foster of Niles and Michael (Kathy) Zeilke of Berrien Springs; four great-grandchildren, Andrew and Danielle Foster, and Audrianna and Nathan Zeilke; and two sisters, Vera Pollack of St. Joseph and Ann Alleman of Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin on January 3, 1999; her parents; two sisters, Mary Shkroba and Julia Pastryk; and one brother, Nick Samchuk.
Pauline will be missed by her family and all that knew her.
