Lillian Irene Weber, 89, passed away on January 5, 2007 in New Port Richey, FL. She was formerly of Benton Harbor before moving down to Holiday, FL in 1974.
Friends may call from 4-6pm, Tuesday, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30am, Wednesday, at the funeral home, with Rev. Martin Weigand officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Lillian was born July 14, 1917 to Isaac and Lillian (Polk) Bailey in Benton Harbor. She was a long time member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Benton Harbor. She was active in the ladies aid at St. Matthews and a volunteer at Mercy Hospital before moving to Florida. There she became a certified nurse’s aid at Helen Ellis Hospital in Tarpon Springs for 10 years. She helped her husband John as bookkeeper for his business of Weber’s Auto Service for over 25 years.
She is survived by two daughters – Ellen Weber Via of Gulf Shores, Alabama and Jeannette Weber Jeffery of Scottsdale, Arizona; a sister Catherine Bridwell of Berrien Springs; 6 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband John on January 7, 1993; her parents; a brother Clifford “Bud” Bailey, and a grandson John Jeffery.
