Priscilla Ann Gaither

BENTON HARBOR – Priscilla Ann Gaither, 50, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2007, at Orchard Grove Extended Care Center in Benton Harbor. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 29, at the Church of Christ, 1495 E. Empire, Benton Harbor, with Brother Rusty Stark officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home in St. Joseph. Priscilla was born on January 4, 1957, in Benton Harbor, to Louis and Christine (Garrett) Cooks. She was a nursing aide for many years working for several area nursing homes. She is survived by her children, Renee Cooks, Timothy Cooks, and Tavares Gaither, all of Grand Rapids, Mich.; her mother, Christine Cooks-Reece of Benton Harbor; three brothers, Louis (Erma) Cooks of Lansing, Mich., Nathaniel Cooks of Benton Harbor, and Christopher Cooks of Sarasota, Fla.; two sisters, Evelyn (Jerell) Williams of Colombus, OH, and Doreen Cooks of Kalamazoo, Mich.; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Danny Cooks.
