Larry's Obituary

Loreto “Larry” Palleschi, 85, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday morning, April 1, 2007, at the Willows Assisted Living Facility in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, April 4, at 10:00 A.M., at the Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Msgr. Thomas Osborn officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to either the St. Joseph Elks Club or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Those wishing to leave a message of condolence, or to sign the family guestbook, may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Larry was born July 31, 1921 in Italy to Carmine and Lucia Palleschi. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII. On December 11, 1943, he married Mildred Mlynek in Joliet, IL. Together they had three sons, Lonnie, Terry, & Craig. He worked for many years as a Tool and Die Maker at Modern Plastics. Larry was an active member in the St. Joseph Elks Club, St. Joseph American Legion, and AMVETS. In his past time, Larry enjoyed playing golf and bowling. Larry is survived by his wife, Mildred; his sons, Lonnie (Helen) Palleschi of Schoolcraft, MI, Terry (Joan) Palleschi of West Bloomfield, MI, Craig (Terri) Palleschi of Stevensville; by two grandchildren, Susan (Brad) Reynolds and Kurt Palleschi; and by his sisters, Mary Gina Califello and Julie Lorenc, both of Joliet, IL . In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Grant and brother Fiorino Palleschi.
