Randy Harris

Randy R. Harris, 45, of Eau Claire, passed away, Saturday, November 11, 2006 at University of Chicago Hospital. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Mike VanDoornik officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. Randy was born September 28, 1961 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida to Robert & Jackie (Hentschel) Harris. He graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1980, and attended Ferris State University. On December 31, 1983, he married the former Karen Nyland in St. Joseph. Randy was employed for the last fifteen years at Dura-Mold, formerly Tri-M Mold in Bridgman. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing basketball with or just being outside with his children. Randy also enjoyed playing the guitar and working on his car. Most important, was any activity which included any or all of his family. Randy is survived by his wife Karen; his son Jordan and his daughter Kayla of Eau Claire; Jordan’s girlfriend Lynn Lee of Taiwan; his parents Robert & Jackie Harris of Stevensville; his sister Christine (Jim) Andrews of St. Joseph; his brother Jeff (Teri) Harris of Baroda; his grandmother Mary Jane Hentschel of Benton Harbor; his mother-in-law & father-in-law Eleanor & Roger Nyland of St. Joseph; his sister-in-law Kathy (Mike) Hollacher of St. Joseph; his brother-in-law Jeff Nyland of Holland; seven nieces & one nephew.
