Dorothy Butler, 86, of Berrien Springs died Thursday, November 9, 2006, at Lakeland Specialty Hospital in Berrien Center. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 11, 2006, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Dr. Randy Doyle officiating. She married Elmer Butler on August 9, 1952, in Saginaw, MI. Dorothy was a self-employed housekeeper and a longtime member of the Village Seventh Day Adventist Church in Berrien Springs, MI. She loved children, enjoyed reading, and traveling on vacations to see her family. Dorothy is survived by her husband; two daughters, Lynda Greenier of Flint, MI, and Lori (Brett) Leng of Cassopolis, MI; five grandchildren, Robert and Nathan Johnson, Bridgette, Irish, David Butler, and Grant Leng; and a brother, Paul (Frances) Betts of Midland, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; and one brother.
