Thomas F. Wach

Thomas Frank Wach, 82, of Stevensville, with family at his side went to his heavenly home peacefully on Tuesday morning, October 17, 2006 at Jordan’s Nursing Home in Bridgman. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 20, 2006 at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, in St. Joseph with Rev. Gordon Barry officiating. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday at the funeral home. Thomas was born August 13, 1924 in Chicago to Thomas and Beatrice Wach. On June 2, 1956 he married Jeanette Frisbie in Watervliet. Together they had two children, Debra and Jeffrey. Thomas was a school bus driver for the Lakeshore and Bridgman School Districts. He was also a delivery agent for the Railway Express in years past in which he received several ‘safe driver’ awards. Thomas was an avid John Deere enthusiast and was a member of the Michiana Two-Cylinder Club. He was also a member of the Berrien Kennel Club. He was active in Boy Scouts and received the Bronze Palm award. Also a longtime 4H member and leader, Thomas worked with woodworking, forestry, and dairy and won third place for his woodworking skills at the Michigan State Fair and won trips to the 4H Camp. He loved his family and his four “canine kids” Shannon Louise, Cheyenne, Vickie Jo and Panda Bear. Thomas is survived by his wife Jeanette, his children, Debra K. (Eric) Adams of Royalton Township and Jeffrey Thomas Wach of Stevensville; his grandchildren, Jason Bradley and Shawn Michael Adams; nephews, David and Donald Hemming; and by his close cousin, Frank Thomas Wach. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn. We will all miss him but know we will meet again.
