Jamie's Obituary

Jamie Marie Breunling, 25, of Tempe, AZ, went to be with her Lord Jesus on October 29, 2006. She was camping and four-wheeling in the California desert with friends, and unexpectedly passed away in her sleep. Jamie was born on April 8, 1981 in Berrien Center, MI, to Steven & Kay (Norton) Breunling. Since graduating from Arizona State University in 2003, Jamie lived and loved the Arizona sun and climate, living in Tempe, AZ. She succeeded in the retail marketplace and most recently was Assistant Store Manager for Prowler Outdoor Sports in Tempe. Growing up, Jamie spent many years in SW Michigan, living in both St. Joseph and Stevensville. She had many friends and loved the SW Michigan beaches. Often relocating with her family, Jamie learned to adapt to many situations. From Denver to Dallas, Naperville to Oshkosh, she made friends and thoroughly enjoyed life. She graduated from high school in Poughkeepsie, NY before attending ASU. She was the light of their life for all that she touched. The hole that she has left behind can now only be filled by the grace of God. Jamie is survived by her mom and dad, Steve and Kay Breunling of Northville, MI; brother Paul Breunling of Ann Arbor, MI; grandfather Herbert Breunling of St. Joseph, MI; aunts and uncles – David & Jo Ann Norton of Plano, TX and Brad & Jo Ann Norton of Austin, TX; cousin Jessica Norton of Little Rock, AR. Jamie was preceded in death by her grandparents – Robert H. & Jeanne A. Norton and grandmother Phyllis M. Breunling. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 6, at Kerley-Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Ave., St. Joseph, with visitation being held two hours prior to the service from 11:00-1:00 at the funeral home. . Jamie will be buried among family in Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph.
