Arnold's Obituary
Our loving husband, father and grandfather, Arnold “Arnie” Wiatrowski, only 64 years young passed away suddenly Thursday, November 30, 2006 surrounded by his loving and devoted family at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. Arnie was born June 28, 1942 to Arnold and Mary Polverento Warfield in South Haven. Arnie’s father passed away from a sudden illness when Arnie was only 2 months and 5 days old, later his mother would remarry, Henry Wiatrowski who adopted Arnie at the age of 3 years, and from that moment in time Henry and Arnie had a bond as father and son, and each loved the other dearly. He graduated from South Haven High School and attended Ferris State College. In June 14, 1964 he married the former Marjorie “Marge” Ann Baker in Northville, MI, with whom he has shared 42 wonderful, majestic years. Arnie worked at Hughes Plastic as a Plant Manager; and also Director of Purchasing at Wollin Products. He was currently employed at Engineered Polymers. In 1988 Arnie and Marge became business partners into Tosi’s Restaurant, he loved working at the restaurant and attending any activity that the kids or grandkids were involved in, and especially playing Santa at Tosi’s Annual Children’s Christmas Party. Arnie was a member of Duck Unlimited, NRA, and also Past President of Southwestern Michigan Society of Plastic Engineers. Arnie will be deeply missed by his wife, Marge. Their 2 sons – Anthony Wiatrowski and Bradley Wiatrowski; their 2 daughters – Amy (Ryan) Thornburg and Lori (Dan) McCrery all of St. Joseph. Survivors also include 4 grandchildren, Parker, Danielle, Connar, and Landon. His mother, Mary Warfield Wiatrowski of South Haven. One brother, David (Sherri) Wiatrowski of South Haven. Numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his fathers, Arnold Warfield and Henry Wiatrowski. The family will meet friends on Sunday, December 3, 2006 from 3:00 P.M – 6:00 P.M at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Wade Panse officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville. Memorials may be made to The Arnold Wiatrowski Memorial Nursing Scholarship c/o Lakeland Health Foundation and First United Methodist Church.
