Carolyn Anne Peterson

Carolyn Anne Peterson, 71, of St. Joseph, MI, formerly of Mishawaka, IN, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2006, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, MI. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 A.M., on Friday, September 22, 2006, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Linda Beushausen officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN at 2:00 P.M. on Friday. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., on Thursday, September 21, 2006, at the funeral home. Carolyn was born to Robert and Mildred (Sailor) Felger on February 5, 1935, in Mishawaka, IN. She graduated from Mishawaka High School. She married Kenneth “Ken” Peterson on February 24, 1955 in South Bend, IN. They were married for 51 years and together they had two children, Robert and Doris. Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Carolyn will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Ken of St. Joseph, MI; children, Robert (Debra) Peterson of Stevensville, MI and Doris Glowacki of St. Joseph, MI; grandchildren, Michael, Johnathon, Christopher, Courtney and Kelly; and brothers, Daniel Felger of Washington, D.C. and Michael Felger of Miamisburg, OH. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents.
