Donnie Lee Hampton, 62, of Coloma, passed away Monday morning, September 25, 2006 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, with Frank Hammerschmidt officiating. Burial will follow at Hagar Shores Cemetery in Coloma. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. Donnie was born August 16, 1944 in Benton Harbor to William and Pauline Hampton. He is survived by his two children, Penny Ott of Benton Harbor and Donna Mathis of Coloma; his grandchildren, Cory and Kristen Mathis, Victoria and Chelsea Hampton, Tiffany Clark, and Samarah and Mickenzie Ott; by his brother, Bobby Hampton; cousin, David Hampton; and by his ‘best friend’ Bubba.
