Rosa O. Buenger

Rosa O. Buenger, 82, of Coloma, passed away Monday, August 21, 2006 at Whitcomb Towers in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Riverside United Methodist Church, 4401 Fikes Rd., Riverside, with Rev. Walter Gerstung officiating. Cremation will follow the service with burial of ashes at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma. Friends may call beginning at 10:00 A.M. Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church or the North Berrien Senior Center, Coloma. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, St. Joseph. Those wishing to share a memory or sign the guest book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Mrs. Buenger was born June 30, 1924 in Hannover, Germany to Carl & Louise Krueger. On June 30, 1947, she married Heinz Karl Buenger in Hannover. They moved to the United States in 1961. Rosa was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping, being out of doors, knitting, and her many pet poodles which she had over the years. Mrs. Buenger is survived by her son Klaus (Kathryn) Buenger of Coloma; two granddaughters-Carmen Russell and Kimberly (Steven) Deyne; and three great grandsons-Shayne, Austin, & Tyler Russell. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Heinz on April 24, 2001, two brothers Rolf & Karl Krueger, and two sisters Elizabeth Mutz & Ingrid Buchhorn.
