Nicholas Tanner

Nicholas Emanuel Tanner, 53, Stevensville, passed away Friday evening, September 14, 2007, at his home. A visitation with the family will be held Monday, September 17, 2007 from 4:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Funeral and burial will be Thursday, September 20, 2007 in Pittsburgh, PA. Local memorials may be made to the Annunciation & Agia Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Church in New Buffalo. He was a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard. On September 26, 1981, he married Katina Alahouzos of Clairton, PA. They moved to Stevensville in 1991. He has since worked at Whirlpool as Manager of Technical Communications. Nick was a “gentle gentleman” who was known for his “laughter, love, and life.” Nick is survived by his wife, Katina; brothers, George, Ernie, and Michael; and by his sister, Olga Hodge. Nick was preceded in death by his parents, Constance (Deno) and Evelyn Tanner.
