Arvilla S. Wiswary

Arvilla (Sandmann) Wiswary, 88, our beloved mother has gone home to be with her Lord in heaven on Thursday, January 25, 2007, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, January 29, 2007, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Phillip Quardokus officiating. Visitation is from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., on Sunday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Arvilla’s name to Christ Lutheran Church or your favorite charity. Those wishing to sign the guestbook or share a memory online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com She was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 20th 1918, to Raymond and Winnifred (Roberts) Foster. She moved to Stevensville in 1952 with her family where in addition to being a nurturing mother she owned and operated a beauty salon. Her interests included bowling, bingo and cards, as well as volunteering whenever and wherever help was needed. Upon marriage to Paul Wiswary she relocated to Lake Michigan where they lived on Eight Point Lake. They enjoyed time with family and their many friends. She was active in her church, St. Paul’s Lutheran in Evart, Michigan. She found comfort in Psalm 23 and now resides with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is predeceased by her loving husband Paul Wiswary, her parents Raymond & Winnifred Foster, her Brother Carl Foster and a daughter, Judith Sandmann. She leaves behind her loving children: John & Kathy (Bogan) Sandmann; Dennis & Cheryl (Taylor) Sandmann; Danny & Jeanne (Stempel) Sandmann; Winnifred Gay (Sandmann) Koehn; Paul & Georgette (Dwers) Wiswary; and Fred & Kathy (Wiswary) Kook. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
