Thomas E. Teed

Thomas Edward Teed, age 78 of Panama City Beach, Florida, went peacefully to be with the Lord Jesus Christ, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his family at his side. Tom retired from Signal Delivery/Whirlpool in 1990. Tom passionately enjoyed golfing and riding his motorcycle, and was a huge Notre Dame fan. When Tom retired to Florida, he volunteered every year working at the Iron Man and the Triathlon. He also volunteered in many different organizations and was a member of two different motorcycle clubs. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 39 years. Tom was a wonderfully devoted husband and father and he will be missed greatly by his family and friends. Tom is survived by his wife Shirley Ann Teed with whom he shared 56 wonderful years of marriage, and his five children. Two daughters: Michele (Steven) Zanders, and Kathleen (Koorosh) Vafadari. His three sons: Michael (Sherrie) Teed, Thomas (Loraine) Teed, and Patrick (Melissa) Teed. Grandchildren: Carrie, Kelly, Justin; Nicole, Aria; Chrissy, Corey, Dawn; Jessica, Ashley; Andrew, Thomas, Zachery, and Joseph. Great grandchildren: Isaiah, Isabella, Mackenzie, Zachary, and Kaela. A memorial service will he held at St. John’s Catholic Church, 600 Columbus Ave., Benton Harbor, on Saturday, September 30 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Bill Jacobs officiating. Any gift of flowers may be sent to the church. Tom was baptized and attended St. John’s Catholic Church and School while living in Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to Holland Hospice.
