I was out of town and just saw in the newspaper the notice of Leslie's passing. It was a shock. Leslie was my student aide when she was in high school in Dowagiac. Leslie was the sweetest, kindest, most cooperative person. I loved her and really enjoyed having her help. I saw Leslie awhile back and it was just like old times. "Hi, Mrs. Carey." She was just as sweet, polite and friendly. We were talking and laughing. To her family, friends and community I am so sorry for your loss. She was way too young and talented. God Bless you, Leslie, and Jesus please give comfort to the ones she left behind.

To the family of Lesile she will be greatly missed. She fought a good fight and now she has gone home to be with the Lord! I am praying for peace and comfort for the entire family and may you all know that God doesn’t make any mistakes.💜💜🙏🙏🙏

Cousin , all the memories we share , I will never ever forget you , this is another void I have in my life , You were the real meaning of what a cousin means..it's hard for me to accept you are no longer here but I know you will be watching over me and your babies ..Thank you for always being there and loving me unconditionally!! I don’t know where to start. Lezlie for the last 20 years has been such a blessing to have as a friend. From the good and the bad. Many many stories to tell. She will always have a special place in my heart. She may be gone from this earth but all the good things she has done for me will never be forgotten. Until we meet again rest in peace.

Leslie's humor was the best! She had a quick wit and would have you laughing until your stomach hurt! Leslie was always kind, thoughtful and a good listener. Nothing she wouldn't do for you. I will surely miss our friendship. Rest easy my friend. Love you ❤️

Leslie had a sense of humor like no other. And the laugh and smile could send everyone into giggles. Always seemed so cool, calm and collected until she walked away from a situation and could with one word, release any tension and make you laugh and shake your head. Fly Ms Hummingbird. You'll be missed.
